After enduring EXCRUCIATING lower back and hip pain for months in late 2023, they discovered there was a TUMOR lurking INSIDE his SPINAL CORD that needed to be surgically removed urgently. After surgery, he had to complete intensive therapy as a patient at Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital for 4 months to learn how to walk again. He had to fight against his mind telling him he couldn’t recover and his legs not moving the way they should.
NellaLeah watched him fight for every little achievement along the way. From wiggling his toes, to bending his legs, to standing on his own feet again. As I sat beside him the entire time, I felt immense pride at his faith and resilience to push through. This song was written to be his anthem...An anthem to listen to, to push through the pain, mental taxation, and spiritual war of his recovery journey.❤️
In the midst of struggles, don’t forget to have faith, work hard, keep your head up, and push through pain. 🙏🏽❤️
